Folic acid, also known as vitamin B9 and pteroylglutamic acid, is a yellow or orange-yellow crystal or crystalline powder that belongs to the water-soluble B vitamins, and is named for its abundant content in green leaves. Folic acid is a group of compounds with similar chemical structure and biochemical characteristics, which are combined with pteridine, p-aminobenzoic acid and one or more glutamic acid (see Figure 1). According to different substituent groups -R1,-R2, can form different folic acid derivatives, when the substituent groups -R1, -R2 are -CH3, -H, respectively, the molecular formula for 5- CH3H4PteGlu (5-methyltetrahydrofolate), the main derivative of folic acid.

Product Function

1. Pregnant women take it to prevent malformations in infants and children. Product Application 

1. Prevention of neural tube malformation in infants and children
As the demand for folic acid by pregnant women is four times higher than that of normal people, and early pregnancy is a critical period for the differentiation of the foetal organ system and the formation of the placenta. A deficiency of folic acid at this time can lead to a higher incidence of neural tube malformations in the foetus, and even cause early spontaneous abortion. Placental abruption, hyperemesis gravidarum and megaloblastic anaemia are more likely to occur in the middle and late stages of pregnancy.Therefore, women who are ready to conceive should take folic acid regularly and consistently.
Methods: Take it after meals, usually start 1-2 months before pregnancy, and use it continuously for about 3 months after pregnancy, one tablet per day, 0.4mg once a day, once a day. 8. Treatment of menopausal depression

Methods: Estradiol valerate tablets 0.5mg orally once a day for 28d, folic acid 0.4mg orally 3 times/day, vitamin B12 25μg orally 3 times/day for 28d.

 

9. Treatment of mouth ulcers and senile atrophic lingual inflammation
