Catechin, English name Catechin, also known as Catechin acid, Catechin acid (Caredhieacid), is a kind of phenolic active substance extracted from tea and other natural plants. The molecular formula is C15H14O6, and the relative molecular weight is 290.28. It is white needle-like crystal (water-acetic acid), melting point 212~216℃, soluble in hot water, ethanol, glacial acetic acid, acetone, slightly soluble in cold water and ether, almost insoluble in benzene, chloroform and petroleum ether.

Function
