Function
It has obvious anti-tumor effect, and can prevent tumor by inhibiting nuclear transcription factor -κB (NF-κB), mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), epidermal growth factor receptor, insulin-like growth factor, epoxide Chemicalbook enzyme (COX) -2 and other related signaling pathways. Tumor metastasis can also be prevented by inhibiting vascular endothelial growth factor, matrix metalloproteinase (MMP), urokinase plasminogen activator and other pathways.
Application
Epigallocatechin Gallate is a tumor-inhibiting constituent of green tea. (-)-Epigallocatechin Gallate alters the cleavage of amyloid precursor protein, decreasing production of amaloid-脽 and amal oid plaques in mice.
