Monensin is a polyether antibiotic, mainly extracted from Streptomyces cinnamonensis.Monensin is widely used as a feed additive and anticoccidial drug in animal husbandry. Here are some key information:

Increase the production of propionic acid in ruminants, reduce the production of acetic acid and methane, thereby increasing weight gain rate and feed conversion rate.

In biological research, Monensin is used to disrupt the transport activity of the Golgi apparatus in cells.

In electrochemistry, Monensin is used as a preparation material for ion-selective electrodes.

1. Prohibited animals:
