Product Introduction
Albendazole is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic for both human and animal use. It can inhibit the growth and reproduction of worms. Albendazole inhibits the protein in the worm's intestines or absorptive cells, thereby preventing the worms from absorbing the sugar they rely on for survival, depleting the worm's endogenous glycogen, and causing the worms to gradually die due to energy depletion. Albendazole is used to treat hydatids (echinococcosis) and nervous system infections caused by tapeworms in pork (cysticercosis). It is also used to treat hookworms, roundworms, whipworms, and stercoralis.

Product Photo and action

Albendazole is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic widely used to treat a variety of parasitic infections, including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, tapeworms, etc. Albendazole kills parasites by inhibiting their absorption of glucose, leading to their energy depletion.
Main features:
Chemical properties: The chemical formula of albendazole is C12H15N3O2S, the molecular weight is 265.33 g/mol, and the melting point is 208-210°C3.
Scope of application: Suitable for humans and animals, commonly used to treat echinococcosis, cysticercosis and other intestinal parasitic infections.
Mechanism of action: By binding to the microtubule protein of the parasite, inhibiting its cell function, and ultimately leading to the death of the parasite.

Product Application
Albendazole is a broad-spectrum anthelmintic widely used to treat a variety of parasitic infections. The following are its main application areas:
Intestinal parasitic infections:Used to treat common intestinal parasitic infections such as roundworms, pinworms, hookworms, and whipworms.Albendazole also has significant effects on strongyloidiasis and trichinosis.
Tissue parasitic infections:
Used to treat cysticercosis (such as brain cysticercosis) and echinococcosis (such as hepatic echinococcosis).
Albendazole also has a good therapeutic effect on tapeworm infections (such as pork tapeworms).
Other parasitic infections:
Albendazole can be used to treat trematode infections such as Clonorchiasis and bile flukes.
Albendazole also has a certain effect on certain protozoan infections (such as Giardiasis).
Veterinary field:
Albendazole is also widely used for deworming livestock, especially for parasite control in ruminants such as cattle and sheep.
Albendazole kills the parasite by inhibiting its absorption of glucose, which leads to its energy depletion. It should be noted that albendazole should be used under the guidance of a doctor or veterinarian, especially when treating complicated infections or long-term medication.

When using albendazole, the following precautions should be taken to ensure safety and effectiveness:
Time of use:
It is recommended to take albendazole two hours before or after meals to ensure effective concentration of the drug in the intestine.
Avoid taking it with high-fat foods, as high-fat foods may increase drug absorption and thus increase the risk of adverse reactions.
Contraindications:
Pregnant and lactating women are prohibited from taking it to avoid adverse effects on the fetus or infant.
Albendazole is not suitable for children under two years old.
Patients with liver and kidney dysfunction, active ulcer disease and allergic constitution should use albendazole with caution.
Adverse reactions:
Mild gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea and abdominal pain may occur.
When treating cysticercosis, symptoms such as headache and fever may occur due to the death of parasites, and corresponding measures need to be taken.
Drug interactions:
Avoid using albendazole at the same time with certain drugs (such as cimetidine and praziquantel) to avoid adverse reactions.
Other precautions:
Maintain adequate water intake during medication to help drug metabolism and reduce the risk of kidney damage.
Follow your doctor or pharmacist's instructions and avoid adjusting your dosage on your own.
