Product Introduction

Niclosamide is a kind of eel killer (Iampricide), is also a kind of molluscicide (molluscicide), for salicylamide derivatives, its anthelmintic mechanism is to inhibit the mitochondrial oxidative phosphorylation process in the worm's cells, the generation of energy substance ATP is reduced, so that the tapeworm's head segment and the adjacent segments are deteriorated, and the worms are dislodged from the intestinal wall with the feces and discharged out of the body. Niclosamide is ineffective against the eggs of the tapeworm. The dead segments are easily digested and decomposed by proteolytic enzymes in the intestinal lumen, releasing eggs, which may cause cysticercosis. Niclosamide also has a killing effect on snails and Schistosoma japonicum tailed larvae. It can kill many kinds of snails, beef tapeworms (Taenia saginata), pork tapeworms (Taeniasolium), fish tapeworms, broad-jointed tapeworms, short membranous tapeworms, and caecilians (Cercariae).

Product Function

In agriculture, Niclosamide is mainly used to kill Fukushu snail (also known as big bottle snail, apple snail, English Pomacea canaliculata) in rice fields. Niclosamide is also used in public health control to kill snails (the intermediate host of schistosomiasis). Clonidine produces rapid metabolic changes in water and has a short duration of action. Niclosamide is used commercially in fish ponds to kill and remove unwanted fish before the ponds receive new water. Niclosamide is very toxic to fish, but has a short half-life in water, and it only takes a few days for new fish to be introduced after the use of this fish killer.

 

Production Methods

1. 2-chloro-4-nitroaniline and 5-chlorosalicylic acid are dissolved in xylene (or chlorobenzene) in equal molar ratios, and then phosphorus trichloride (or phosphorus trichloride) is slowly added under boiling, after which the reflux is continued for 3h, cooled, and the crystals filtered out, i.e., clonidazolamide.
2. Equal amounts of 2-chloro-4-nitroaniline and 5-chlorosalicylic acid were dissolved in xylene (or chlorobenzene), heated to boiling, then slowly added phosphorus trichloride (or phosphorus trichloride), after which the reflux was continued for 3 h. After cooling, the crystals were filtered out, i.e., the product.

 

Product Application 

1. New tapeworm killer, can be used to get rid of tapeworms in animals such as pigs and cattle. It can also be used to exterminate snails.
2. Used as anti-helminthic drug to prevent and control Fusiliers, etc.
3. It can be used to kill snails and freshwater snails, and it is effective for snails and their eggs.
4. It can also be used as tapeworm medicine to expel beef tapeworm and pork tapeworm.

 

Functions: This product is not easily absorbed orally, in the intestine to maintain a high concentration, can kill the head of the tapeworm and the proximal segment of the tapeworm, clinically used to expel beef tapeworms, pork tapeworms and short membranous tapeworms, the effectiveness of the betel nut, pumpkin seeds than significant. Also used as a snail killer, in the concentration of 0.2 to 0.5 parts per million, can kill snails and schistosomes caecal larvae, trichinae, the dosage for the body surface area of 1g/m2. The product is harmless to warm-blooded animals and plants, only toxic to fish. This product can also be made into a dressing, used in the water before applying to the skin to prevent acute schistosomiasis infections and dermatitis in rice paddies. (Clonidine is included in the WHO Essential Medicines List for use when praziquantel treatment is not effective).
Usage and dosage:
(1) Anti-bovine and porcine tapeworm oral (preferably chewed and swallowed), 1 g once, 1 hour apart, 2 times in total.
(2) Anti-short membrane shell tapeworm, 1g on the 1st day, 1 time every 1 hour, a total of 2 times, 1g on the 2nd day, for 6 to 8 days.
(3) It is preferable to take the medicine on an empty stomach in the morning. When taking the medicine, the tablet should be fully bitten and swallowed, and as little water as possible should be drunk so that the medicine can reach a higher concentration in the upper part of the duodenum. Magnesium sulfate should be taken 2 hours after the 2nd dose to induce diarrhea.
Adverse reactions: dizziness, chest tightness, chest pain, fatigue, gastrointestinal discomfort, fever, scratching and so on.
Precautions:
(1) Slight dizziness, chest tightness, abdominal discomfort or abdominal pain, fever, and itching.
(2) It can be taken in combination with metoclopramide (mirex) to prevent cysticercosis caused by reflux of eggs dispersed from the digested tablets into the stomach and duodenum due to vomiting.
